MARIEKE RESERVE GOUDA
We're thrilled to bring you this gem of Wisconsin cheese: Marieke Reserve Gouda, a rich, aged, wonder made by master cheesemaker Marieke Penterman at her farmstead creamery in Thorp, Wisconsin.
Marieke grew up on a dairy farm in the Netherlands and brought her love for quality dairy products when she moved to Wisconsin with her now business partner, Rolf, and established a dairy farm in Thorp. There she embarked on a quest to become a licensed cheesemaker. In 2024, she earned the coveted Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker certification. Notably, she is only the fourth woman to earn this highly respected title.
This reserve Gouda, aged at Marieke's creamery over 1,000 days, is a testament to her skill and dedication. Try it with dried fruits and nuts, a glass of Chardonnay, and good company.

Our Values
Cultures aren't just for making cheese
Relationships Matter
Our mission from inception has been to cultivate an approachable type of cheese company– one that utilizes farmers' markets and festivals to share our cheese and connect directly with people. Since going entirely digital, we’ve never lost sight of our commitment to building meaningful connections with our customers and community.

Personal Customer Service
We loathe robotic, impersonal customer service, so we aim to be its antithesis. Our team is here to answer any questions you have, and we love nothing more than a happy, satisfied customer! We never outsource customer service or take shortcuts when it comes to our correspondence.

Small team. Big hearts.
We value our relationships with each other just as much as our customer relationships. We consider Cheese Brothers team members as part of our family, and all opportunities with us provide a living wage.

Community Support
We pay it forward regularly by donating products and a portion of proceeds to various non-profit organizations. Complementary items in our gift boxes (jams, mustards, etc.) are always Wisconsin-made by small businesses and local artisans like us. Even down to the crackers!

Mindful shipping & packing
Your Cheese Is in Grate Hands!
We take care to protect the integrity of your cheese in transit. Our vacuum-sealed, hard cheeses are safe outside of refrigeration in transit. If temperatures in your location are above 60 degrees, we ship your order in insulated boxes with gel ice packs to protect your shipment at no additional charge.
